HappyJane is divorced and is seeking males for a serious relationship.

I've been told that I don't look my age (probably just being kind) - and I certainly don't feel it ! I'm on the curvy side, so a bit above average in all honesty. I am going to Slimming World to lose a few lbs though. I have my own teeth, hair and bits - nothing false - and my wooden leg hardly troubles me unless I'm caught in a fire !!
I am not the sort of person who puts on a full face of make-up to nip to the shops. I scrub up OK for a day or night out though.
I love getting out and about and enjoying things - I don't want to waste my life ! I really enjoy walking in the countryside or on a beach. I'm usually willing to try anything once. I still want to do my skydive too.
Be warned - I hate cooking and am also pretty useless !
I have travelled quite a bit and enjoy seeing new places and experiencing different cultures. I also enjoy relaxing holidays at times - as just love the sunshine and sea.
My photos are up to date, so please don't fib about your age. I have tried to include a couple of me not smiling too. Age really is just a number - it is personality, kindness, ability to communicate, health and outlook on life that interest me.

What do you like most about where you currently live?

I love the countryside and the beach.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

I am now retired, but really enjoyed my career too.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

I really enjoy travel and holidays - whether it be a city break, sunny, relaxing time or adventure ! I also love the UK and its diversity. I enjoy walking my dog on the gorgeous beaches and in the beautiful countryside here. I thoroughly enjoy gardening and the creation of a relaxing and informal space to spend with family and friends. I do enjoy painting and crafts, but I haven't done much lately as it is a busy time of year in the garden. I read every evening (thrillers and murders mostly), but from Spring to Autumn do enjoy the outdoors and the opportunity to get out and about exploring.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

I have travelled quite a bit - but still have a long 'bucket list' of places to explore and enjoy ! New Zealand, Alaska and Sri Lanka were amazing - but then so are many other places. The only place I haven't really enjoyed was Hong Kong - that was due to the noise.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

Borneo, Austria, Sardinia, Belize (for snorkelling), Petra, Lake Garda, The Rockies, North Coast 500, Florence, Bavaria etc., etc., etc.

What would you do on an ideal date?

Meet up for a coffee or meal.

What are you looking for in a partner?

I just want to meet nice, kind, normal guys ! No hang-ups, drama, moods, narcissistic or weird behaviour ! Must have a good sense of humour, enjoy fun and not be 'old beyond their years' - as I am not. It would also be handy if they could cook - as I hate it and am a disaster in the kitchen ! If you are looking for a head cook and bottle washer, please don't contact me. I do have my own teeth though !

What makes a good relationship?

Caring for each other, enjoying the others company, understanding, compromise, understanding, really speaking to each other and listening, have fun together, always making the effort to keep things fresh, respect.

What makes you laugh?

Funny things ! Also trying not to laugh when it is inappropriate - that always sets me off. Life ! There is always a funny side, even if you cannot appreciate it until later on.

What music do you like?

I like pretty much all music - apart from syncopated jazz ! My heart still belongs to 70's music if I have to chose an era. I love Motown, soul and some reggae too.

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

My family and family life. My travelling adventures too.

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Contentment and 'adventure before dementia'. Making the most of life, even if it is just going out for a coffee and cake or a pub lunch on a cold, rainy day before settling down to watch a good film on our TV.
