I was widowed just over 4 years ago, it knocked me for 6 for a number of years, but I am happy to say that I am through all the dark days and would like to meet someone. I am fortunate in that I am retired now, I had the opportunity when I turned 55 to give up work and I took it. I am happily filling my time, honestly don't know how I managed my time when I was working because my days are full now! I used to be a manager at an engineering company and before that I was in the British Army from the age of 16 to 40, I then went to work at a Defence contractor and then finally an engineering company as a department manager. I don't miss working - life is pretty stress free now. I own 3 West Highland Terriers, who keep me busy and gave me a purpose to get up in the morning after my wife died
