About Me

Hello, I was born at a very young age and quickly developed a sense of humour—probably because I intuitively knew I’d end up on a dating app one day.

I’m a laid-back, slightly eccentric, down-to-earth retired aviation professional. I came from humble beginnings, made a bit of a mess of my early education—my first job as a teenager was driving a laundry van around the Black Country and South Wales, which I really enjoyed. But I always embraced opportunity and one day, miraculously it came along.

Being retired I now occasionally do some teaching and some consultancy work. I appreciate modern life and believe you can be old rather than acting old (I even like Taylor Swift). I try to eat healthily but I do love the occasional Burger King, pick and mix and cream slice!

My old country cottage has an acre of land, a large chunk of which is a wildlife meadow. I love flowers, trees and butterfly’s, plus bread and butter pudding and afternoon tea.

Mature, sincere and kind, I value substance and sincerity. Someone who understands the importance of honest and open communication. Please be nice, if you’ve got anger issues, and there seems to be a few on here that do, please contact your GP, not me! So no old grumps and whingers, please!

Distance is no object—especially since they invented the wheel.
