I am a private person and definitely not out going, talk to people if talked to, but do not instigate conversation, feel uncomfortable with people I don't know or in a large group of people, best in compact groups of 3 or 4.

I have a love of nature, although certainly no expert on the natural world. Ideally would like a partner not afraid of getting muddy on walks happy to wrap up and explore in cold weather, happy to get sweaty in hot weather, willing to visit nature reserves and spend lengthy periods watching wildlife in all weather's and so occasionally not afraid of a little discomfort.

Like eating out in pubs, restaurants, my favourite dishes are seafood, fish shellfish etc...but enjoy all types of food.

Enjoy visiting cinema and happy viewing all genres, from action movies to weepy romantic stuff. Love period films like Remains of the Day, television series like Brideshead Revisited and film genre James Bond. Also enjoy vintage comedies like Only Fools, Men Behaving Badly,Faulty Towers etc..Enjoy the new internet stuff like Outlander,Vikings, medical dramas etc..

I enjoy reading, love crime fiction, autobiographies, mountaineering and exploration , nature and photography.love my kindle and always have several books available to read. Love reading printed books 're. Nature and photography where photos are prominent in the publication.

I am university educated but not a boffin my any means, I am not particularly erudite or articulate or indeed clever!

Looking for casual relationship in first instance , but do not rule out anything with more commitment, I am a realist in this, in your 60's nothing is easy regarding relationships. I appreciate that the age group I am looking for there is no perfection bodily wise and do not expect a 40 year old model. I am comfortable with ladies of extra weight ,lumps ,bumps etc .

I enjoy visiting pubs and appreciate real ale though not particularly active in the social aspect of this.

Why am I here? I suppose to establish some sort of companionship, to what extent and commitment, I cannot determine until I have actually met an individual. Do not expect a companion to follow exclusively my interests, compromise obviously important and appreciating and showing an interest in a partners interest is important.
