What do you like most about where you currently live?

Live in a small village in Cornwall. The countryside here is great and 30 minutes from the coast. Great walks for my dog and me.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

Retired. My current job is looking after my dog, house and garden which I enjoy. Always plenty to do.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

Walking, photography, reading, DIY.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

Three favourite places, Hong Kong, Fremantle in Western Australia and Cape Town. Spent many years in the Royal Navy serving in the Arctic and Southern Ocean, travelled around the world and experienced a serious onboard fire in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

Cost of travel and travel insurance limiting choice at the moment.

What would you do on an ideal date?

Quiet evening at country pub with good food and drink and space to talk, alternatively visiting coast and/or countryside places of interest and towns.

What are you looking for in a partner?

A very good friend with a great sense of humour who is equally at home in jeans as the LBD. Game for a laugh and who enjoys a challenge. Doesn't take life too seriously and who also is looking for long term serious relationship. Sense of humour essential.

What makes a good relationship?

Good communication, ability to laugh instead of cry, enjoying every minute of each others company and providing support, love and a safe pair of arms when needed.

What makes you laugh?

Enjoying a great time with really great friends or together being silly with a partner.

What music do you like?

Love 60s t0 90s. Pink Floyd, ELO, Moody Blues, Eagles, America etc. etc. Also some Blues, Classical and many film themes. (Even some Opera!!).

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Spending 16 incredible years in the Royal navy with brilliant mates and seeing so much of the world.

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Whatever I am lucky enough to have come my way. Hopefully to love a lot, laugh a lot, enjoy new experiences but most importantly to meet and enjoy the amazing company of a very special other.
