Trying to keep myself amused during the winter, which doesn't particularly work when you are on your own and I have reached the stage in life were I don't like driving at night, what with the new LCD headlights amongst other things.

Like to visit stately homes, but more to the point their gardens. I have tried to create a half decent garden, but without much success, although I was told it looked like that famous French landscape, no not Monnet, but the Somme.

Used to tour the UK and winter trips to Tenerife. Unfortunately for the time being, I have had to curtail my travels after suffering a, not very nice illness, but who knows, someone may persuade me to start again. Although not a lover of long haul flights these days, did too many with my work over the years.

I liked to cook when I had an interest or should I say, had someone to cook for. My speciality was a 5 course, consisting of one starter, one main and three puddings.

I have a log fire to help with relaxing and if you really get to know me I have a 2 person Jacqui bath.

Had to retire a few months ago, owing to the previous said illness, but with spring just around the corner, I am feeling a lot better than I did last week.

So, having most of the Tee shirts for travelling, do you have any answers (clean please) for how best to relieve the winter time boredom?

My dislikes, just in case you are thinking of asking me to: (and no doubt there are many more than my current list).

I do not like breaking ice to take a swim, there are specialist vessels for that task.
I do not like running up and down mountains, if I did, your man upstairs, would have given me cloved feet and a pair of horns.
I do not like route marches, disguised as a ramble. You would be surprised how the personality of some of the fairer sex changes, once fitted with the obligatory anorak and day sack. The SAS has nothing on these girls.
I do not like going out, but only after Coronation St. or East Enders have finished broadcasting.

What do you like most about where you currently live?

Its private and I designed and project managed it myself.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

I am semi retired but have my own company so I can choose when and where I work.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

I have a motorhome which I like to tour with. I am also a National Trust member, so I tend to visit gardens of interest.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

Travelled to many but I think New Zealand has the edge.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

Fell out with long haul after travelling round the world with work, but if it had to be a distant place Bora, Bora a nearer option would be Moscow.

What would you do on an ideal date?

Probably go for a meal and have a long chat.

What are you looking for in a partner?

Someone that doesn't take life too seriously, after all we will all go out the door feet first at some stage.

What makes a good relationship?

Having chemistry between 2 people.

Try me and you will find out.

What music do you like?

Country, Rock, Some Classical, Some Opera. Easy Music.

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

3 Month around the world trip with a large back pack and my late wife in a wheel chair fulfilling her dying wish.

An easy life to the finish post.
