Hello, thank you for reading my profile. I’m a widower, retired from my main career in engineering, during which I travelled to many countries and most continents. Now I run a small sheep farm in north Buckinghamshire with assistance from a nearby farmer. (During lambing, the farm keeps me quite busy)
My passion is flying, and I’ve had a basic pilot licence for over 30 years. I have a very small aeroplane and belong to a local club. We arrange fly-outs to various destinations in the UK and most summers at least one trip to Europe. (This year we have rented a fantastic chateau in southern France) It is all very weather dependent though, so not much happens in the winter, but I have my workshop where I do some model making and wood turning. Most winters I have been for a week’s skiing in the Alps, I enjoy a wide variety of live music and at least once a month I go a local event, usually in Milton Keynes.
I have some good friends in the village where I live, and in the flying club, but I miss having someone close to share things with, such as dinner dates and parties, going to a show or music event and holidays. So, I’m hoping to find someone in the same age group and not too distant. Maybe wishful thinking or are you out there somewhere?
