Currently living in York, have been a carer for my Dad. He’s recently died so I’m hanging about in his old house sorting affairs out. Will be here til January
Usually live between Scarborough and Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay where my jobs are based. (Stone restoration, driving pro musicians local to the area around country on tours etc, projections for clubs) I live (usually) very remotely up on the top of the North Yorkshire moors on the edge of a large forest, super beautiful. 🌳 picture of a tree there for decoration

What I love.. playing Music (live) and Painting. (Art)
play in 3 bands (guitar, electric bass) play concerts often, locally and around area, some festivals. Throughout my 40s this was my job, playing festivals and concerts around England Wales.
play a few other instruments to an amateur level (accordion, violin, ‘cello) pretty awful on those ok and cats on particular are not fans.

Single after having come out of a long term relationship in the last 2 months. No baggage..very happy and on good terms with my last partner and no desire to resume that relationship.

Would love to meet people for dates, coffee, ☕️ bar, ⭐️🍷 wherever but ideally somewhere that serves proper coffee :) Not really ready to jump back into a long term relationship but would be willing were the right person to magically appear of course.
Ideally I’d like to meet someone my own age or older. I have had relationships with people younger before, successfully, but I do miss the pleasure of having common references. If you look blank when I mention Bagpuss or Opal Fruits, Spangles.. that means we may have wildly different opinions on what is and is not cool 😅

I am told I’m very easy to get on with, I love meeting new people, will always find something in common with anyone and I love to talk and to listen. Everyone has something interesting about them in my experience and I love to explore that :)

Art (painting/drawing) 🎨 always been a large part of my life. Equally important as Music. love Art History in the same way I love to listen to music ((60s70s80s90s and various bands/rap and dance acts of this century, classical music, some jazz and Stephen Sondheim) I love to be introduced to new great music. And old great music that I’ve missed.

Very interested in Science as well as Arts, esp Astronomy, 🪐 Cosmology, Evolution, theoretical Physics. The big why and how questions, read a lot around those subjects.

have a wide and varied circle of friends in the area, and beyond, don’t wa r to date any of them tho.

Oh, cats. What was I thinking. Major part of my life. >^..^< cute little rascals. Hope you ❤️ cats too but if you don’t we can work on it, take you to a doctor or psychiatrist or something, see what’s wrong. 🙄😅🤣 Dogs cool too of course, I just don’t have one. Love all animals. Maybe not wasps and flies so if you have those as pets it’s a no from me sorry 🤷‍♂️😬😂🪰
