What do you like most about where you currently live?

where I live is convenient for travel in any direction. I am 20 minutes from the New Forest and 30 minutes from several major towns and cities. However, I have no real ties to this area.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

Now retired. But when working I enjoyed the challenge of my next task. I was in construction planning and no two days were the same.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

I was encourage to try lawn bowls over 20 years ago, and enjoy it still. Walking on the beach, in the forest, around shop (within reason). I should take up cycling again.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

I love the Caribbean. Have been there many times. Lovely weather, beautiful countries and very friendly people. I also enjoyed Kenya, the Canaries, some Mediterranean islands, and so many more.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

I have never really been East, so Japan, Borneo or some exotic islands.

What would you do on an ideal date?

On and ideal date it would be Ladies choice. I would offer meeting for a tea / coffee and a chat, or going for a walk in a scenic area.

What are you looking for in a partner?

I am looking for a down to earth, friendly, sociable, happy person, who has no hang up and can laugh at me and themselves. A good sense of humour, slightly warped is fine.

What makes a good relationship?

Apart from the obvious, which is the attraction to each other. I would say good communication. also understanding each other.

What makes you laugh?

I can laugh at virtually anything, from a good comedy film to someone telling jokes. I also find it funny when someone does something really silly.

What music do you like?

Being brought up in the 70's that would mean disco, but my taste in music ranges from soul, rock, easy listening to classical.

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Difficult question to answer: however I would probably say my working career. I started off in the Army with a trade. Then moved to being a construction site foreman and Site Manager for many years. I moved up to being a Project Manager before moving sideways to being a Planner, the ended as a Planning Manager.

What are you looking forward to in the future?

I am looking for my future to be a happy and reasonably healthy one with someone who is happy for us to spend the rest of our lives together.

I live alone. I have been widowed for just over 12 years. I did have a little staffie until recently. I enjoy travel, DIY, time in the garden, days out, dining in and out. A good movie, mainly thriller and comedies even rom coms.
