I was sadly widowed five years ago and now feel ready to take some hopeful steps into dating again. I’m based in Carlisle and the Borders. I don’t currently drive (I’m between EVs),and therefore I'm forced to take a more environmentally friendly approach to the practicalities of meeting. Someone local would be good. But I firmly believe the right connection is always worth making a little effort for.

I spent years as a BBC wildlife filmmaker before moving north a decade ago to focus on solo projects and a more authentic life free of materialism. Nature and animals are at the heart of who I am — as I hope they are to you.

I’ve been told I’m good company: warm, communicative, glass-half-full, and happier being useful than sitting around idle. I’m not after endless swiping or text marathons — just companionship with someone kind, grounded, and fun to be around. I'm a big romantic at heart.
