I am a single 76yr old man.

Socially, I enjoy the occasional drink at a local social club and am currently on its committee. At home I enjoy pottering about in my garden and at been busy renovating the pond and the surrounding area.

I should warn you that I tend to have a cheeky sense of humour and enjoy writing and walks in the countryside.

Above all, I value honesty. There's enough deceit in the world already.

I pride myself on being a man of few words - In fact I once wrote a five page essay on the subject...

This would likely be my epitaph...

I am proud to say that, after 70+years I have finally managed
to raise myself from out of the gutter of life and into dizzy
heights of unemployment and then onward to impoverished
retirement.
In the intervening years, I have painstakingly sidestepped
the wealth and education that was – occasionally - thrust
at me, and have settled, grumpily it must be said, into the
day to day drudgery that inflicts most people in these
trying times.
All in all, I am a normal pissed-off male specimen of the
human race and hope to continue being a pain in the arse
to all those who meet me for many years to come.
And when the Grim Reaper finally catches up with me, my
only comment concerning the unwelcome encounter will likely
be, ‘Bugger'.

Lastly, the vast majority of 'matches' on this site - if they can be called that, live miles away from me, making it unlikely that I would ever meet them in person. I have therefore decided not to bother searching for someone. Therefore, ladies who wish to meet me will need contact me first.

All the photos I have included are no more than a year old, except the one of me in uniform which was taken in the 1980s.

An up to date photo of you is a must, if you expect a reply to messages.

I did not join this site just to 'chat online'. I joined it to meet women in person. Hopefully the one woman that I've been looking for and that has been a looking for me.
