Okay so here we are then.
As a divorcee, with a limited social circle and as a means of meeting ,it is with that sense of convenience rather than preference, that I am drawn here.
I won’t be a serial dater, nor treat this as some kind of interesting experiment, or embark on meeting 25 different women in order to find Mrs Right. Each of us wishes to be ‘the priority’. Not the ‘option’ and not to be taken from a lengthy list of considerations.
As for me. Yes, I am drawn to the quiet life with the occasional meals out ,all kinds of music (listening), gardening... spirituality and the way the mind works, weekends away, Country walks or by the sea and seaside, various sports (watching) follow F1 with a lifelong passion, as indeed cars, travel and keeping abreast of news interest (home and abroad), and yes, a glimpse of the political scene.
So too an appreciation of history, culture and artistic performance. Be that visual, written or stage.
At 70 years of age. Fit, healthy apart from the odd creaking bone here and there.
Silver haired, thin on top, ( some time stubble or bearded ) whatever the fancy takes me.
No beer belly here. Finely toned and presentable. Both smart and casual dress sense with appreciation of fashion trends..
And at 6’ 2’’ …..A well read all round package but certainly not….. Dead, Collapsed or Defeated ..loll !!
In fact the heart says I am less than half my age, whereas the head says. Hang on, really, you’re 70 !
Ah well. I treat that as having a healthy excitable exuberance combined with the experience of years.
You will find me intelligent, able to hold a conversation, down to earth with a sense of warmth. Everyone enjoys a sense of fun, so yes, witty with a dry sense of humour which I confess can go quirky with a bit of 'zany alternative' at times. With some maybe feeling they didn’t quite get that.
Ya know…..a Robin Williams moment !!!
I can have my moments of deeper conversation too.
As a tactile, sensitively aware empath, I am acutely attuned to not merely my own feelings, but equally to those of others. I wear my heart on my sleeve and a belief that none of us are perfect.
I know when to speak. But importantly. I know when to listen !
And I know when banter needs to give way to meaningful conversation and sense of understanding.
Romantically with the right person I am not bashful and open to convey my thoughts, desires and emotions.
With kindness and consideration it is with these characteristics and all the above that a most perceptive and convivial union is sought.
Oh…and as you might gather.
I have no aversion to,writing. I enjoy writing as this is a most telling medium. So come on. What are you waiting for !
After all, Good communication sometimes can be as stimulating as black coffee, with the same possible result. That is to say with some positivity. Once sampled It Is difficult to sleep after !
