Favourite place in UK is Northumberland and it's great beaches but I'm biased as it's where I grew up .
Left the North East 38 years ago to live and work in Asia and London until retirement .
Ended up in North Yorkshire ,-ran out of fuel on the A1 on my way back up north ! Well it's a good conversation starter.
