Somewhat nomadic hermit and hound who would love to be enticed out from reclusion with some lovely company :)

Between high energy kids and a big excitable dog all keeping me on my toes, I think I've forgotten how to meet new people, and have resorted to this online malarkey instead. It doesn't help that I spend too much time either lost in projects in my workshop, ambling through the local woods and valleys, or encaptured by a great book, film or series.

I love the outdoors, though a youthful history of many minor misadventures has somewhat lowered my pace and distance in more recent years, but I still enjoy getting away in my van to beautiful and/or wild places when I can. I'm also a bit of a science & engineering nerd, so love a good museum, interesting architecture, cool machines, and anything aero or nautical. Sprinkle a touch of peculiar spirituality into the mix, and if you haven't guessed by now then I'll freely admit to not being exactly neurotypical!
