Having said that I'm not Quasimodo's ugly brother although some people think I'm Victor Meldrew's grumpy brother! Am into cooking, reading, sport, music, films, travel, mixed mud wrestling, all the usual stuff...well ok, I'm only joking, I've never done much reading :-)

Am pretty much open minded about the kind of lady I'm seeking although being slightly shallow, I must admit to favouring someone who is quite sporty and fit but still likes to work off all the exercise by indulging in the finer things...like food, drink and travel...although haven't done much of the 3rd of those lately!

Otherwise, apart from having a questionable sense of humour, I only have a house and car to support and used to work full time in the City of London but left about 20 months ago...before Covid had even been heard of...and became a 'man of leisure' for a while. The lure of daytime TV was just too much to resist... although I also managed to fill my free time with a few more productive pastimes. Anyway, I've now had quite enough of Homes under the Hammer, Bargain Hunt and Countdown and am re-joining the working classes in August!

Hope my 'CV' looks worth a punt anyway!

What do you like most about where you currently live?

Convenient for the daily journey into London, near to the town centre without being TOO near.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

The people I work with and there are benefits like pension, BUPA, social events, love the location...and they even give me some money at the end of every month!

What are your favourite leisure activities?

Sport, cooking, Quizzes, music festivals, weekends away, gym, eating, drinking, crown bowls, dominoes, scrabble, lion taming, etc. etc.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

In no particular order.. California, Spain, Dorset, City of London, Las Vegas, my garden on a hot sunny day.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

The place you have to go to pick up your lottery win.

What would you do on an ideal date?

That partly depends on what my date would like to do and the time of year...but ideally, a few drinks in or outside a pub by the river with a nice 'ambience' about it followed by a nice curry...as you'd expect from any self respecting Essex boy :-)

What are you looking for in a partner?

Someone who's sporty and fit and is likely to say things like "don't bother doing those jobs around the house, I want to go to the pub to watch the footy" :-)

What makes a good relationship?

Trust, honesty, unselfishness, and fancying each other like mad!

What makes you laugh?

Fawlty Towers, Black Adder, Victor Meldrew...probably give a good idea of my slightly sarcastic SOH. Bad taste jokes too.

What music do you like?

Niel Diamond, Celine Dion, James Blunt, Abba, Queen, Punk Rock, Irish diddly diddly, etc. a mixed bag really...not hip hop, noisy Jazz or heavy metal though.

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Achieving Gym Instructor qualification, passing Insurance exams, competing in Pro football 5 a side competition, doing the Richmond half marathon in under an hour and a half, anything which I've managed to do despite being told I wasn't up to it...

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Health, happiness, and meeting that 'special someone'. Also want to do a half marathon abroad soonest.

Which Sportsperson do you most admire?

Andy Murray...has carried the flag for British tennis almost single handedly for well over 10 years.
