Oh look! Another man! What a hunk he is too!

I know, and yet as incredibly modest as I am about my Holywood good looks, superior intellect and athletic prowess, it is a burden to bestow myself upon the world.

Which is why I'm on a dating site.

On a more serious note, I have come out of a serious long term relationship a while back and I'm looking for companionship, ideally long term.

I work for an engineering company, have my own home with a mortgage and although I have a step-son who is still in my life, he obviously lives with his Mother. No divorce, no acrimonious break-up, so remarkably little baggage for a man in his late-forties.

I have a number of hobbies, but my biggest passion is photography of all kinds of genre. Even as a hobbyist I have still done a small amount of professional work and I would love to meet someone with a creative mind as art and photography go so well together, plus I have always found creative women very attractive.

Otherwise, I play badminton once or twice a week, I like to go hiking on a casual basis and I attend Quaker meetings on a weekly basis which is where my religion comes in. I still have an interest in computers, which is how I got my role in engineering, so I do play around with those from time-to-time, but usually related to my photography.

In terms of who I would like to meet, a well-educated creative woman would be lovely. I am left-of-centre politically, so it would probably help if you're somewhere in that direction and it would be nice if you were reasonably active in some way as well.

Most importantly I need someone that is honest, communicates well and is loving. I should probably not have to say this, but be meaningfully single. I have had married women reach out to me and I am not going to do that.
