Hello, my name is Mark, nice to meet you.
I’m 52 years old and live with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a condition that affects my whole body and significantly weakens my muscles. I use a powered wheelchair and require assistance with many aspects of daily life, including personal care.
I believe in being open about my disability so there’s no confusion, and so people can get to know the real me from the start.
In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, listening to music, and getting out when I can, although that can sometimes take a bit of planning. I value connection, conversation, and shared experiences.
I consider myself a kind, genuine person, a good friend and a good listener. I’d really like to meet female friends for companionship, and see where things might lead.
I’ll be honest, building relationships can be challenging when you have a disability like mine. It can come with feelings of vulnerability and fear of rejection. But I’ve reached a point in my life where I want to be fully myself, be honest, and connect with people who appreciate me for who I am.
