I live in a nice country village, with beautiful countryside, which I find a great release from time to time. I am a genuine, sincere, intelligent guy. I enjoy my independence, but if I am honest I do miss sharing some of the finer things in life. I dislike dishonesty, greed, alternative truths and apathy. I’m generally enthusiastic & curious; I love people & their stories. I’m happier camping somewhere scenic and drinking in the beauty than being a package holiday sort of guy. I'm not a game player and tend to wear my heart on my sleeve.

I have a wide circle of friends, a range of interests and am open-minded to new things. I've reached a time in life where I'm comfortable with me. I'm looking for someone with a twinkle in their eye & willingness to make every day less ordinary. A woman who’s not content to simply sleepwalk through life, someone to laugh with, and happy just being themselves. Therefore, political leaning and attitude to life and others tend to be deal makers or breakers for me. Kindness, compassion, and generosity are important traits. As are brain activity and humor, the dryer the better. One of the most attractive things in a partner for me is certainly an active and enquiring mind. That said, there is a place for quiet, more intimate moments be they: a stroll in the country, followed by lunch in a nearby hostelry, romantic dinners, watching films on a cold day, even reading in companionable silence.
