About Johnny58
Johnny58 is divorced and is seeking females for friendship or a serious relationship.
What do you like most about where you currently live?
It's a fairly nice area, close to amenities and family. What a boring answer (mind you it wasn't an exciting question).
What do you enjoy most about your current job?
It's interesting, I'm part of a massive project I'm proud of, I have a fantastic boss, lovely colleagues and I'm doing something that I am good at and enjoy. It's also easy to get to and the hours are fairly flexible. Winner winner.
What are your favourite leisure activities?
I love playing guitar and keyboards - I currently play in an electronic music band playing covers of all kinds of songs in an 80s synthpop style. I love reading and cooking, visiting pubs and dining out. I also enjoy model making and have an interest in thing powered by steam (locomotives, traction engines, stationery engines etc. not kettles, rice cookers or trouser presses). I'm a sucker for a science, nature or history documentary. I'm a fan of museums and galleries. I have a cat who is one of my bet friends. We have deep and meaningful conversations and sometimes she wanders half way through or gets the zoomies. I would be happy with a partner who also demonstrates these qualities.
Where in the world are your favourite places?
It's more about who I am with than where I am. I love being in a pub, wherever it is, and sometimes I'm happy being at home. Having said that, Sheffield has a special place in my heart as I went to University there and I like to go back there when I can - I feel different there somehow. Other than that, I really like being near the sea, whatever the weather.
Where in the world would you love to visit?
Probably Tokyo or New York, for the "Mega City" experience
What would you do on an ideal date?
For a first date, a few drinks in a pub that's not too busy so that we can chat and start to get to know one another. Not exactly very original or exciting I guess, but it's an honest answer. For future dates, dinner somewhere nice, a day out somewhere with history and culture, a pub quiz etc.
What are you looking for in a partner?
I want someone who can accept me as I am. I'm not broken and I don't need fixing. Honesty is important to me so I need to be myself and for a partner. I identify a neurodivergent and I like people who are funny, quirky and intelligent. I think I'm probably sapiosexual. i.e. I find intelligence and humour attractive more than any specific physical type.
What makes a good relationship?
Mutual attraction, fun, humour, honesty, mutual interests and an appreciation or understanding of those interests that are not mutual. I want to feel butterflies again when looking forward to seeing my partner. I'm happy to start off slow and see how things go.
What makes you laugh?
Silliness mainly, and generally being naughty and childish.
What music do you like?
All sorts, from prog rock to punk via folk and electronica. Favourite bands include Rush, The Chameleons, The Sisters of Mercy and Depeche Mode.
What has been the highlight of your life so far?
Probably my children
What are you looking forward to in the future?
I'm happy at the moment, and I would like to find someone to chare that happiness with.
Stratocaster or Les Paul?
Stratocaster, end of.
