I have a 10 yr old he lives with me , his mum and me split 5 yrs ago - but our sons comes first.i live in he house we bought (but signed the morgage over to her) and pay rent and the rest of the roomed are rented out . She lives abroad and maybe comes back once a year.
He’s settled at school and why I put friendship / casual . So yes it could develop but be aware I won’t move out.
My son doesn’t need a mum he has one.
