About FamilyDad
FamilyDad is single and is seeking females for a serious relationship.
I like to think of myself as a bit of a complex layer cake. I have a 14 year old son who lives with me full-time, so be sure that you want to love two people, that's really important. Not that you'll see him much as he's forever on his Xbox.
I'm pretty much like a teenager myself and as such like to have a laugh and act in silly ways.
I'm intelligent and can have deep and meaningful conversations.
I'm entertaining and a combination of all the above with the right person.
I wear my heart on my sleeve, so you'll know if I like you and you'll know if I don't. I don't play games it only hurts people.
I say what I feel and mean what I say. Flannel is for washing with and should only be found in the bathroom.
I don't like endless texting unless it's from my phone and you'll get a text first thing in the morning and last thing at night just to make sure you understand that your always on my mind.
I'm a quiet, even handed man, who never looks down on anyone unless I'm picking them up. I'm happy with who I am and love that in everyone. My motto is: Your beautiful because your you. Your unique because there's only one of you and always be positive about yourself because of the above.
For some reason I always look different in a photo, I've never understood why, but maybe it's because I don't like posing so I feel uncomfortable?
My biggest failing, yes we all have them, is I get grumpy when I'm tired, so just don't let me get tired and life's a bed of roses. Oh, and I think I might be addicted to tea and don't let me near hot chocolate!
Anyway there's a snapshot of me, basically what you see (and read) is what you get.
Thanks for reading my profile and positive vibes to you all.
What do you like most about where you currently live?
I have just relocated to Leeds from Dover as a result of the pandemic. I have to say that I love the difference between Northerners and Southerners. Everyone I've met so far are so friendly and non-judgemental. It's just so different.
What are you looking for in a partner?
In a partner I look for someone who has a great sense of humour. If you can't laugh together there's no point in the relationship.
I also look for someone who shares the value of equality. Being equal is an essential part of any relationship. However, I like my partner to also understand that being treated like a queen doesn't diminish equality.
Someone who is tactile, loves a cuddle and knows the importance of having her hand held. I'm really a big teddy bear.
What makes a good relationship?
A good relationship is built on truth and honesty. If you don't have these two foundation blocks then any relationship on any level is bound for failure.
My hero, my step-dad not only taught me that, but showed me. The way he treated my mum, the way he made her feel like she was the most important thing in her life, the way he showed her how much he loved her and made meaningless words redundant. If I show half as much respect as he did in my relationships then I honour his memory. He's a hard act to follow which is why I say half.
What makes you laugh?
Everything! I used to be in the entertainment industry so I learnt that laughter was the best medicine in the world.
My sense of humour is a little childish at times, but it's a lot like Bradley Walsh (The Chase).
What has been the highlight of your life so far?
Having my children. They bring so much joy and happiness. I love children. They love you unconditionally and without judgement. Unfortunately, my children are of an age where I'm not needed as much, so I'd love to be given a second chance to be needed; so the more children you have the better for me.
