What do you like most about where you currently live?

It’s near to a small nature reserve and I can walk to the town through it. It’s also very quiet here.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

I volunteer at Cancer Research and my colleagues are great people.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

I enjoy the company of family and friends, enjoy going for a pint, watching sports, cooking, looking after my grand dog , trips to the coast, I’m a simple soul really !

Where in the world are your favourite places?

Italy is fantastic. For a weekend break you can’t beat Ireland , they really know how to enjoy themselves and make you feel welcome.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

I’d like to take a trip on The Rocky Mountaineer in Canada.

What would you do on an ideal date?

I think a first date should be low pressure for both, maybe a coffee or a drink.

What are you looking for in a partner?

Warm and kind. Tactile, sense of humour, intelligent and I think eyes and smile can tell a lot.

What makes a good relationship?

Love , laughter, common interests. Conversation, shared silences, honesty and openness.

What makes you laugh?

Many things, I have a dry sense of humour, and a sense of the ridiculous . I don’t take myself too seriously. Life’s too short.

What music do you like?

Varied, rock, to country. You would have to see my vinyl and cds to get the full story. Not thrash or modem heavy rock. I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin ThinLizzy, Pink Floyd etc. calmed down a bit since !

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Tough question. The highs and lows of life are equal but if I had to choose, becoming a Dad for the first time, even though that was 37 years ago.

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Living a healthy life with my forever lady.
