What do you like most about where you currently live?

I chose to live in Norwich as it is a city where people are friendly and it has plenty of good links for business coupled with a plethora of restaurants, a vibrant night life, a great football club and excellent surrounding country and seaside as well as being within easy reach of London and has its own airport.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

I have run my own business for 50 years. My company sends schools to France, Germany and Spain. It is very rewarding when returning schools say they have enjoyed a fantastic trip as most of them do. It also provides me with the opportunity to travel frequently to Europe to check out our centres, restaurants, museums and hotels as well as the landscape.It is a great company to have all the work is so enjoyable.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

Dining out, enjoying wine, driving throughout Europe, theatre, ballet, football (have been involved with Norwich City) tennis, cycling, walking, cruises. TV, concerts.horse racing

Where in the world are your favourite places?

Paris, Cote d'Azur, Rome, Florence, Venice, Luxembourg, Barcelona, Strasbourg, Malaga, The Mediterranean, In the UK Cornwall and the Lake District and London.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

Berlin, Prague, Vienna,and continue to regularly visit all of France, Italy.Spain and Germany.

What would you do on an ideal date?

Go to a very special restaurant and enjoy a great meal with top wines and flowing conversation.

What are you looking for in a partner?

An attractive loving slim lady who is a liberal thinker and shares my outlook on life. Someone who is multi cultural and strongly anti-racist. Someone who has similar interests and enjoys good food and wine and also would love to join in the regular trips to France and Spain with me on my exciting trips. Age is not important - All of my friends are much younger and generally reckon me to be about 65! My doc reckons I have 19 years to go!

What makes a good relationship?

Having a similar philosophy and and working together on all issues in the home and outside. It's about being a team and really loving each other and enjoying each others company whatever you are doing.

What makes you laugh?

Tommy Cooper - Thin Blue Line - Michael McIntyre - Fools & Horses, ( I like to claim that I am the real Delbboy since I was born in Peckham although I only lived there for three weeks!) I don't like blue or racist jokes. I have a gsoh and am likely to pull April Fool jokes amongst others.

What music do you like?

A wide range of music from Abba to the Three Tenors. Favourites include Dean Martin, Charles Aznavour, Bat King Cole, Buddy Holly, Piaf, I did see the Beatles live and Aznavour too. I enjoy most pop stuff.

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Running a very successful company for over fifty years .
Being Lord Mayor of Norwich twice. Serving on the Regional Assembly for the East of England and brokering the deal to bring Delia Smith to Norwich City football club.
Raising a successful family with two grandsons at Cambidge University,a granddaughter with a Masters in Psychology and her sister reading French and Spanish at Birmingham and another grandson reading Soccer and Business Studies in New York State with two more yet to reach university age.

What are you looking forward to in the future?

I am very fit with lots of energy and I have the time and resources to spend the next years enjoying all things in life to the full if I can meet up with the right person.
