Looking for companionship. I have male friends but miss the company of a woman, especially when visiting country houses or trips to the coast. I work as a handyman at a local school, through from April I'll be reducing my hours to allow time for other things. As a fair-weather kayaker I plan to make more of The Lakes this summer.

What do you like most about where you currently live?

I live in the city but in my garden it can seem otherwise.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

Great team, enjoyable place to work.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

Catching up with old friends.Enjoying the chaos when the family descends, and the calm, peacefulness that follows when they leave : ). Fair-weather kayaking, hope to make more of The Lakes this summer. Gardening, country walks, visits to the coast. Enjoying a morning coffee in the garden, in the sunshine, listening to bird song and watching the Kites circle overhead.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

United Kingdom, Crete and New Zealand where my eldest son and his family live.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

The Himalayas. And, of course, New Zealand again.

What would you do on an ideal date?

For a first date? Probably a coffee. Ideally? Exploring somewhere new with someone new.

What are you looking for in a partner?

Difficult one. Compatibility?

What makes a good relationship?

Honesty. And can anything replace that feeling of being with someone you consider your best friend?

What makes you laugh?

Ricki Gervais. The antics of my grandchildren, daft stuff on YouTube.

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Keeping my present job but reducing my hours in April. There's more to life than work. .I have male friends but I miss female companionship, especially when visiting country houses or taking trips to the coast. Would be nice to meet a woman who enjoys us spending time together.
