And although I have my doubts if you just say 'Hi', I appreciate it's annoying when somebody spends ages on an essay then gets no response.

NB 1, I am not into one night stands, so words like fun, adventurous or free spirit make me somewhat suspicious.

No Personality Category for Starving Artist? As a self-employed editor of a non-profit making literary journal, glad to be free of 9-5 even if it sometimes has to be 24/7. I'm not quite a workaholic, but hard work is satisfying. However, it can mean erratic response occasionally inevitable, so apologies in advance for that.

In general, I enjoy my life and my own company; good-natured and good-humoured. And old-fashioned, because manners maketh man – bad manners maketh women cross. OK, and men. Courtesy and kindness always appreciated.

For example, I wouldn't suddenly stop in the middle of correspondence which has been going for a while without some kind of explanation. Ghosting? What the hell? But no point wasting time and energy on people who behave like that.

And I'm perhaps too cynical (or too old) to be looking for The One, a Soul Mate or a Knight in Shining Armour.

However... a good friendship can eventually lead to something better, and so can hanging out with somebody with a daft sense of humour.
