Brocher1 is widowed and is seeking females for a serious relationship.

My friends would describe me as an extremely loyal individual who values honesty and integrity above all else. Although a normally confident person, prior to becoming a widower, I had been married for more than 40 years, and as such, if I'm being completely honest, potentially developing a relationship with another woman is something I'm not entirely sure about!! To be absolutely fair to the many women who have viewed my profile, whilst I really appreciate your interest, I should also say that, I have no interest in long distance relationships.

Following on from the above, whilst I have nothing but admiration for the women who are brave enough to put photos of themselves on this site, whether it be as a result of male vanity, or simply uncertainty about the future I'm seeking, I currently lack the confidence to do so.

Despite my relative seniority, I maintain an active lifestyle which is due in no small part to having a Spaniel as my constant companion. Additionally, I participate in Outdoor and Indoor Bowls, and occasionally go Fly Fishing.

Whilst I may now be in the area of "clutching at straws", I should also say that I'm repeatedly told that I look much younger than my actual age, but I couldn't possibly comment!!!

Any woman I develop a relationship with would ideally have the same attributes as me in terms of being an honest and loyal person. Such an individual would probably share the same caution and uncertainty as I do about dating sites, and in the first instance be looking at establishing a close friendship/ companionship which could later develop into a more meaningful, long term relationship.

Following on the above, although almost 3 years have now elapsed since I first became a widower, I still do not envisage ever remarrying. I understand that some women may feel that this stance is inconsistent with the aims of someone using a Dating Site, however I have always endeavoured to be an honest individual, and would never wish to deceive any women using this site. Whilst I recognise that none of us can predict the future, and the nature of any deeper relationship that may subsequently develop, in the first instance, I think that companionship would best reflect my current needs.

Similarly, although the life of a widower can be lonely at times, it is uncomplicated, and I would not wish to become involved with a woman who has unresolved marital issues.

My late wife and I travelled all over the world, and I note that many of the women viewing my profile also have aspirations to do so. However, since becoming a widower, my sole companion has been a devoted Spaniel who has never been in a kennel before; as such, foreign travel is not on the agenda for me I'm afraid.

Finally, I have never smoked, and to use this website's terminology, this would be a "Deal breaker" for me.

In conclusion, whilst I recognise that the honest nature of the above information may dissuade some women from considering me a suitable match, I would rather that happen than intentionally deceive anyone to my own advantage.
