Astonlocks is widowed and is seeking females for a serious relationship.

My name is David, I was born in M'Tarfa, Malta my father was in the RAF. As a result of that our family managed to live in Singapore, Gibralta and Cyprus as well as several places in the UK. My mother hailed from Downton between Salisbury and the New Forest my fathers last posting was RAF Lyneham. I had passed my 11 plus and went to Calne Bentley Grammar School. The family lived in Calne for about three years and then moved to Redlands Chippenham. I have travelled a considerable amount both for work and leisure. I am very laid back, but do like to have a plan to work to. The lady of my life was diagnosed to have an esophageal cancer stage 3 to 4 the very day of the first Covid Lockdown the surgeons prognosis was she had 5 to 8 weeks to live, I cared for and looked after her for 14 1/2 months, this on its own very nearly broke me, but at the same time my mothers dementia had really accelerated, as soon as my partner had passed away I had to pick up the mantel care for my mum. When she passed away, I was beaten and exhausted so I had to do something radical I moved from Essex to Oswestry, bought an almost derelict Bungalow, the building is now to CO3/4 standard plus Solar Panels and battery storage the only improvement I can make is triple glazing. But the inside needs a womans touch and presence. Finding that special person appears much harder task than when I was young, I have many very fond memories of the past and hope to add more for the future. There is much more as I have led a very interesting life so far. Perhaps you would like to find out.

What do you like most about where you currently live?

It is the most wonderful place in Britain, some areas are within 1 km of Wales, it has Canals, Offa's Dyke and Oswald's and many more walking trails. Nature reserves and is so steeped in History from around 650 BC until current day. My home is only just on the Shropshire plains with hills on 3 sides of 4. It is a photographer and walking observers paradise.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

I am retired and only a slave to the bills and my dog,

What are your favourite leisure activities?

Enjoying the freedom to enjoy my world.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

Turkey Cyprus and the Peloponnese

Where in the world would you love to visit?

Patagonia, The Galapagos and many more.

What would you do on an ideal date?

A nice walk taking in a wonderful environment, a nice pub and a good meal .

What are you looking for in a partner?

Some one with similar interests, who is able to articulate their readings on what we observe and situations we face.

What makes a good relationship?

Always being there for your partner, understanding one another, caring and sharing, laughing and crying together. Working to common ends.

What makes you laugh?

Robin Williams films and the Mork and Mindy TV series

What music do you like?

Mainly Rock orientated fusing with Jazz,Blues,Folk and electronic music. I mourn the loss of so many live music venues,

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Seeing the smile on my partners face, when she met a sculpturist whose work she adored and we visited the artists studios and went to dinner with her, as a surprise 60th Birthday treat.

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Feeling alive again, I am not good at solitude.

What are your main goals for this year.

To get out and about with my Motor home, seeing places I have not been in my homeland.
