I am settling into retirement and like to keep myself busy.

I love travelling and have been to some wonderful places all over the world. I've been to most of Western Europe and a good chunk of the US. To celebrate my 60th, I went on a grand tour of the Far East.

I am reasonably fit and enjoy sports, both watching and taking part. I am a keen golfer and play to a good standard. I enjoy the competitive side of the sport but my best days are behind me. These days it's the camaraderie of my fellow players that I enjoy and I've been lucky to play some stunningly beautiful courses. Every now and then I take myself off for a bit of skiing. I go as much for the scenery as for the thrill of flying down the slope.

I really try to enjoy all that London has to offer. I love exploring different parts of the city. There are some great walks along the river. I try to get to the theatre or a radio recording every now and then. Always amazed at how many venues there are in this city.

I'd like to think I've got a good sense of humour. Definitely enjoy having a laugh.
