That question always reminds me of an older man who used to hang out at a local bar.

He didn’t drink alcohol—he’d just order sparkling water with ice.

People would ask him,
“Why come to a bar if you don’t drink?”

He’d smile and say,
“A bar has a lot more to offer than alcohol. The drinks are just a social lubricant.”

And that’s the point.
