What do you like most about where you currently live?

It's convenient to get into town, is close to the amenities without them being on top of you but equally convenient for the motorway and an escape out of town.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

It's varied, challenging and.. corny as it sounds, I get a kick out of helping people.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

The gym, golf, the pub and the movies. Gardening a bit, but seem to have lost the enthusiasm of late. Would like a nice, tidy, maintained garden.. done for me! Does that count?

Where in the world are your favourite places?

The Dordogne and Venice... so far.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

Australia, Hong Kong, Canada and the West Coast of America. However, I'm up for other suggestions.

What would you do on an ideal date?

Have a drink and/or a meal and we'll see how things go from there.

What are you looking for in a partner?

Someone who has a sense of humour a must. Some shared interests but also something I don't do yet to broaden my horizons, within the bounds of reason and legality.

What makes a good relationship?

Trust, loyalty, and helping meet that fine balance between dependence and independence.

What makes you laugh?

Spontaneous wit, a large range of comedy programmes... too tricky to go any further otherwise we'll end up with a long tedious list, but.. Peter Kay and Billy Connoly would be on it and Have I Got News for You and.. see, we're off!

What music do you like?

Pretty much anything except hip hop/gangster rap and associated rackets. Well, that probably puts off a few more. Can I afford to? (Rhetorical!)

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Realising just how much I mean to my step daughter. She didn't tell me but...!

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Beginning life afresh after my separation.

What are your favourite films?

A long list that alters depending, but at the moment, if pushed it'd contain: The Shawshank Redemption, Unforgiven, Casablanca, Moulin Rouge, Butch Cassisdy and the Sundance Kid, The Great Escape, Support your Local Sherriff, A Matter of Life and Death, It's a Wonderful Life and Casino Royale.
