I grew up in the Balkan mountains in Bulgaria with no running water (hence my screen name) no electricity or gas. I fetched bread from the village 3km away and bought fresh cows milk from the monks in the monastery not far. We grew our own fruit and veg and bought and bartered for what we needed from the locals. This is how I grew up and it was a very happy childhood. It shaped who I am today. I've lived in the UK for a long time but have also lived in other countries on occasion. I've had many different jobs and careers. I'm educated and I speak and write good English as well as Bulgarian and I have a working knowledge of Turkish. I have family all over the world. I have a 24 year old daughter who lives in Bristol but travels a lot. She's in Australia at the mo, until Christmas. I'm generally laid back and friendly polite and easy going but also have the Balkan temperament (make of that what you will). I'm loyal and am not a liar unless it's to protect someone (like myself...) I have had some quite serious events befall me within the last few years and am very glad to be alive. I can talk about it later. I want a lover and a friend (if that's possible...) or as close to it as possible. I've had an unconventional life and have done things that people find hard to believe (in a good way that is). I don't like reactionaries and racist people. I'm Fed up of hearing "the boats" and detest Tommy Robinson! Just had to get that in. And no I don't hate Russia! I'm not a liberal and quite traditional but also progressive. I am an oxyMORON in other words. I am not religious but I follow my Bulgarian Orthodox Traditions. I believe people's sexuality should be their business not anyone else's. I can't understand the need to shout it out all over the place. This is something that my backward mountain man mentality will never get used to. I'm a tolerant person towards those who show me the same tolerance and acceptance. I usually thinks before I speaks! I am melancholy and introverted at times and the opposite at other times. I'm an unstable dependable person haha. I like people 'generally'and can see past things some wouldn't be able to see past.
