What do you like most about where you currently live?

It has the attractions and facilities of a big city with the beauty of the countryside on the doorstep.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

That I no longer have one!

What are your favourite leisure activities?

SUP (stand up paddle boarding); walks; cycling; photography; concerts; cinema.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

Enjoy France but no real favourite. UK still has a lot to offer, too.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

Italy. And further afield, perhaps New Zealand.

What would you do on an ideal date?

Something we both feel happy with: coffee/ drink, walk, meal out, visit to somewhere interesting. We’re talking first date here… then seeing where it goes.

What are you looking for in a partner?

Someone with some shared interests (but differences are good too); mutual attraction; fun to be with but also able to have meaningful conversations.

What makes a good relationship?

See above plus respect, honesty, sharing and trust. Simply enjoying being with each other as well as being interested in what the other has been doing when apart.

What makes you laugh?

Lots!… although sometimes inside rather than out loud. Satire (without sarcasm) but also pathos, craziness and just little things that amuse at the time. Even better if it’s laughter shared with another.

What music do you like?

Mostly rock, blues, pop, folk that doesn’t take itself too seriously and some of the more obvious classical. Examples: Dylan (of course!), Stones; Baez; Beatles (still think they are underrated); Kinks; Fairport; Tim Buckley; Dusty. Not totally stuck in the ‘60s even though you wouldn’t know it from that list!

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Surviving… and parenthood, a decent career… and love.

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Continuing to enjoy life, maybe with new interests/ activities, and sharing life with a romantic someone.
