About Teresa1717
Teresa1717 is single and is seeking males for a serious relationship.
Please don't send me winks or other emojis instead of a written message! Looking for a loving, lasting, devoted romance with an older gentleman who either already lives in the English countryside (not the coastline, though) an easy train journey from London, or would like to, and is able to manifest such a life for us. I'm not attracted to younger men. I'm not looking for a boyfriend. I would like a devoted platonic friendship leading to marriage. Typing messages is physically and mentally exhausting after a while. It may be easier to speak on the phone after the first few message exchanges. I'm not on WhatsApp now.
I'm looking to escape to the countryside an easy journey from London on the train. I'd like some acreage (3-4, and I don't mean public parks, country walks or someone else's golf courses, but if there are no neighbours around, and fields surround us, then we can own less acreage ourselves), some tall trees of our own and a beautiful cosy but spacious house in the middle like a jewel in the crown (I don't mean a stately home or a castle, but just 5-6 bedrooms and a few bathrooms for the two of us and any family or friends you might invite as guests from time to time). I don't favour living on the coast. I plan to keep a London bolt hole to come back to once a month for a few days so that I can have that perfect balance between London and the English countryside to help me ascend.
I stayed at a country house overnight last year on a couple of occasions as a guest, with three acres of land and some tall trees along two opposite sides of the land. The property is in the Home Counties and near the town. They have two brand new routers. The internet is very poor, and even my phone internet wasn't working. The trees buffer the property from malevolent tech, transmute it, and protect the occupants. In addition, the property 'has no neighbours ', because the trees give total privacy.
What do you like most about where you currently live?
It's the most desirable part of central London, close to all the amenities, with perfect links to other parts of London and the UK. The world is my oyster. I will retain my current home as a London bolt hole to return to once a month for a few days when I move to the countryside.
What do you enjoy most about your current job?
This question reminds me of the Dowager Duchess in Downton Abbey (Maggie Smith: "What's the weekend?")
What are your favourite leisure activities?
Listening to music, watching old TV shows and films, enjoying birdsong and murmur of tree branches and leaves, reading, exercise. I'll start using my creative talent when I move to the country.
Where in the world are your favourite places?
In my husband's arms by the fire in the drawing room of our country house, and also enjoying our grounds.
Where in the world would you love to visit?
The English, Scottish, Irish and Welsh countryside.
What would you do on an ideal date?
I don't do dates. A lunch appointment or afternoon tea would be my equivalent.
What are you looking for in a partner?
The right person for me.
What makes a good relationship?
Being with the right person for you, and then everything will fall into place.
What makes you laugh?
Some British sitcoms, Dynasty, also period shows and screen adaptations like Pride & Prejudice and Downton Abbey. I laugh at people, but it's always politer to do it discreetly of course. I laugh at myself. To me, I'm unintentionally funny. I was told by a casting agent years ago that I should be on Made in Chelsea. I wouldn't like to become well known, so that wouldn't have been for me.
What music do you like?
Classical, easy listening, Motown, slow jazz, blues and some pop from time to time.
What has been the highlight of your life so far?
No such thing. It's all just lessons. We're in school. I'm here to learn and ascend. And you?
What are you looking forward to in the future?
There is no future any more than there's past. It's all in the now. There's no linear time.
What has been your most significant discovery?
That life's a theatre play. Just sit back, and watch the show!
