About RudiTitanic
RudiTitanic is single and is seeking females for friendship or a serious relationship.
Hi,
How to describe me? I'm rather unique! My interests include the Titanic disaster, history more generally, modelmaking, steam engines and playing the violin along with more usual things like reading and listening to music.
I am somewhat shy or reserved, although have been told I talk quite a lot(!), but I genuinely like to listen.
As for the type of girl I'm looking for, someone kind, smart and friendly would be perfect!
What do you like most about where you currently live?
It's close to London but practically in the countryside.
What do you enjoy most about your current job?
I'm a historian and love reading/researching - you never know what you might find next!
What are your favourite leisure activities?
I play the violin, fence (well, used to), read and write, listen to music and make models (I'm with a local group). I'm particularly interested in transport history, especially railways and the Titanic disaster.
Where in the world are your favourite places?
Anything historical.
Where in the world would you love to visit?
Been to many already, but would love to go back to...!
What would you do on an ideal date?
Go to an art gallery/museum.
What are you looking for in a partner?
Someone to talk with, to go places with and generally enjoy life with.
What makes a good relationship?
Trust and honesty above everything.
What makes you laugh?
Bad jokes, silly situations; I've an odd sense of humour at times!
What music do you like?
Classical, Gilbert & Sullivan, some folk, pop & rock - in general, totally random!
What has been the highlight of your life so far?
Quite a few to choose from! Knowing the last survivor of the Titanic Disaster, having conservation & research work on public display, high-profile lecture work (some with the BBC) and having work of mine published and kept in the British Library must be the top ones. Oh, also driving the replica of Stephenson's 'Rocket' and firing the first locomotive ever to break the ton (in addition, the most modern too)...
What are you looking forward to in the future?
Publishing another book (and then another!).
