I spent most of my working life teaching in Birmingham and I now enjoy retirement in a cottage set amongst the rugged hills of the mid Wales coast.
I'm practical and enjoy making things so I always have a project 'on the go'.
I enjoy occasional outings in my little sports car - an essential indulgence I'd love to share! But, of course, I'm open to the possibilities of another's interests and enthusiasms.
My children are all grown and gone but always in touch, even when they don't want something!¦
I like art, technology, music, film, theatre, literature and alternative news channels.
I flew to Paris last year and enjoyed a wonderful evening of Chopin in an old church on the left bank. But I'm partial to Springsteen now and again and I'm very fond of Stacey Kent.
I enjoy being part of my local community - even daring occasionally to perform an irreverent stand-up comedy turn in my local pub.
I enjoy banter and repartee. I like discussions, but I'm no expert.
I have opinions, but convince me otherwise and I'll change them.
I see the beauty in my life but sharing could add much more.

I'm looking for a kindred spirit who would chat about anything and everything but who would also appreciate moments of calm reflection and togetherness.
