After some years away, I'm giving online dating another try. Looking for someone who loves good conversation and exchanges of ideas. Music is important to me, and I play my digital piano most days and compose music too. Occasional I'll even play my alto or tenor saxophones, though they have been rather neglected in recent years. I love listening to classical, jazz and latin music in particular. I like to get stuck into a good book - currently reading a biography of Winston Churchill - whether non-fiction or great literature. Recently I've been writing a few poems, and had a go at doing novels and short stories years ago, although these all ended up being thrown out. Time in nature is always good for the soul. I like to do abstract art too, mainly intricate patterns done by hand. I'm not one for crowded, noise-ridden places where you can't hear yourself think, so party animal types will need to look elsewhere. Looking for friendship first and whatever happens naturally, these things cannot be rushed. I have a soft spot for shortish men with dark hair. I speak good Italian, having lived there in the past, and would be happy to meet a more intellectual Italian or other European marooned in the UK and finding it hard to meet a nice companion. We shall see how it goes ! I'm not looking for meaningless casual encounters. It is better to be alone than to be trapped in a bad relationship, just for the sake of having a partner. But being part of a meaningful relationship is no doubt preferable to being alone, and I have been by myself for a very long time now. So much so that I am probably beyond redemption !
