I trust that my straightforward approach resonates with you, although I appreciate that for many it will be a real turn-off, but hey ho, I’m not trying to appeal to the many, just the few or even better, just the one!

First, it is important to say that I am very international and open in outlook, and I appreciate different cultures and languages. I enjoy the company of those with a similar view.

I have almost everything I want in life: a successful and demanding career, plus an active life and interests outside work. I have it all except a challenging situation that I find myself in as a carer to a wife who is bedbound with a serious neurodegenerative condition. I do take these responsibilities and the situation I find myself in seriously; however, if you are uncomfortable with me being on this site, then jog on, as you clearly have little understanding of real life.

Life to me is just one long adventure, and I never fail to get excited by it and the possibilities it holds. I have the mentality that "anything and everything is possible”. I never want to get old and say "I wish I'd done... ", I want to do it now!

What I do believe is that there is a kindred spirit out there who is the missing piece of my jigsaw! The missing piece is almost certainly unconventional, a free spirit, likely to love books, be knowledgeable of current affairs, and lead a healthy and active lifestyle.

So in a nutshell, beyond this, I’m looking for a friend, confidant and possibly lover!

I'm certainly not solely motivated by looks; it is more a meeting of minds that I seek. I am European in mindset and outlook, a passionate xenophile. I also spend much of my time swimming or cycling, but never running, something you may want to consider before choosing to reply.

Privacy is very important to me and also part of my professional life, so although my profile has an identity, the real me, including pictures, will only be shared with those who reach out and converse.
