What do you like most about where you currently live?

I live in a quiet residential area close to Farnborough Airport. I say quiet, it's not during Farnborough Airshow, when the planes scream inches over my house. Quite exciting watching in the back garden with a BBQ.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

I am a technical leader on a project that I can't discuss outside of the office. I manage quite a big team of software developers; sadly miss the good old days of developing code myself, but it does mean I get the occasional trip around the country or foreign destinations.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

I love playing badminton, both competitively and as a social activity.

I love music, I'm discovering new music every day. I have an open mind and will give anything a try.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

I loved Banff in the Rockies.
I have been to several places in the Caribbean. I love Rome; there's something worth checking out around every corner, so many interesting buildings, statues, etc.

I like walking in the Lake District.

I have also been to Paris, Australia, Miami, Florida, Los Angeles, Alcatraz, many other places.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

I've been to many places, not sure where I'd like to try next. One day, perhaps New Zealand. In the mean time, summer beach holidays with a lovely companion is fine by me.

What would you do on an ideal date?

Smile, laugh and chat over a nice meal or walk in a park.

What are you looking for in a partner?

Someone who is honest, caring, easy going, perhaps a little shy like me.

What makes a good relationship?

Communication is key to a good relationship, having a fair amount of things in common to talk about.

What makes you laugh?

My children, TV comedies, silly people on X Factor. Tickles, jokes.

What music do you like?

Lots of different styles, but to list some: rock, alternative, electronic, ambient, female singer/songwriters, folk rock.

I like discovering new bands in pubs or small clubs, listen to podcasts to find new interesting stuff.

It brings a smile to my face to hear that progressive rock is making a comeback, due to big names like Radiohead and Muse.

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Every day with my son and daughter.

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Finding "the special one", who wants to spend time with me and my children.
