What do you like most about where you currently live?

Being a craft wood carve and leather worker, I have always liked the quieter places. Near to country side but still within reach of towns.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

Being retired I can now choose the work I can undertake. I could not see a time when I was not working on a carving or a leather project. The luxury of being able to choose what I work on and when, makes retirement great.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

Reading listening to music and working at my crafts. I do enjoy being able to spend time out doors be it countryside or by the sea. Travel was a large part of my life both for work and pleasure. However time has taken its toll and I tend to enjoy being at home or in my workshop.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

The south hams of Devon , Sanibel and Captiva island off the coast of Florida. The Welsh valleys and mountains and the appellation mountains of eastern USA .

Where in the world would you love to visit?

Captiva island to re live some wonderful times. A place I never managed to see the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

What would you do on an ideal date?

Take time over a meal to break the ice and discover where there is common ground to build on a relationship.

What are you looking for in a partner?

Company and a bright mind that will keep young and may be as the flame still burns but has dimmed with time to burn brighter.

What makes a good relationship?

Trust, honesty and open mindedness, with a spice off adventure thrown in.

What makes you laugh?

The absurdity of closed minded people and politician’s. Genital humour and satire of modern life.

What music do you like?

Delta blues, traditional folk music of America and the U.K. Medieval and some classical , with a good mix of rock and roll.

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Other than a long and happy marriage and a loving daughter. Probable at the age of forty five. Leaving the rat race to follow my craft and become the oldest hippy in the village.

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Becoming less of a loner and moving forward with the next chapter of my life.

How are you seen by family and friends.

Well I think they would say, a very independent man with some fixed stubborn attitudes to life. Can be grumpy and annoying, but has a large kind heart is loyal and dependable. Once described by a Native American as having a spirit animal as part of my sole “ A Brown Bear” deep down I think he was right.
