About Doctorsleep
Doctorsleep is single and is seeking females for friendship.
“Those who conquer others are strong. Those who conquer themselves are mighty.”
I tend to get misread at first people sometimes assume I’m more “player” than I actually am.
In reality, I’m quite selective. I prefer one good connection over ten shallow ones. Like the girl next door type of woman, down to earth.
I’m not into endless messaging. Happy to chat briefly here, but I prefer moving to a real conversation fairly quickly phone or quick call, whatever feels comfortable.
Medical technician, working toward Health & Safety qualifications. I like having direction and building something meaningful.
I train regularly, keep myself in good shape, but I’m not flashy about it. I prefer substance over show good conversation, good company, and people who are comfortable being themselves.
I’m not into playing games or juggling multiple people. I prefer genuine connection and getting to know someone properly.
I enjoy philosophy and thoughtful conversation, but I’m also grounded and practical. Calm under pressure, curious by nature, and I tend to lean into challenges rather than avoid them.
I value women who are intelligent, self-aware, and can challenge me while still keeping things easy and natural.
If we get on, I’ll suggest a call or coffee much better than messaging.
And if you’ve read this far, feel free to say hello.
What do you like most about where you currently live?
Being close to the countryside and the surrounding villages. I like having the option to escape into quieter places when I need to clear my head.
What do you enjoy most about your current job?
The people I meet and the places the job takes me. I travel around Devon and Somerset most days, so I’m often passing through old villages, historic towns and some really beautiful countryside.
What are your favourite leisure activities?
The gym is a big part of my life now. I started training about four years ago during a weight loss journey after some health issues and ended up losing around 10 stone. What started as a necessity has become something I genuinely enjoy. These days I mainly row and do strength training to support it, which keeps me fit and balanced.
Outside of that I enjoy reading, particularly philosophy and historical ideas about how people understand life and meaning. I also enjoy conversations about science, biology and psychology I’m naturally curious about how things work.
Recently I’ve also been exploring older historical texts and unusual philosophical writings that aren’t always part of the mainstream. Some of it touches on ancient spirituality and symbolic traditions. I approach it purely from a curiosity and learning perspective it’s fascinating how different cultures tried to understand discipline, meaning and the human mind.
Don’t worry though, it’s not something I walk around talking about all day. Most people who meet me just see someone fairly normal who enjoys the gym, good conversation and the occasional rabbit hole of interesting ideas.
Where in the world are your favourite places?
I’m not really a “sit by the pool all day” type. I’m far more interested in places with dramatic landscapes or deep history. Iceland, Alaska and Japan are high on my list. I like places that feel a little wild or culturally interesting rather than typical tourist resorts.
I also have a slightly adventurous side. At one point I wanted to visit Chernobyl before access became restricted. I’ve always been fascinated by places with unusual history and stories behind them.
What would you do on an ideal date?
Ideal first date: something simple like a drink and an easy conversation. I prefer relaxed and natural rather than anything overly formal.
Second date: a bit more time together maybe a walk somewhere interesting, a National Trust place or somewhere with good scenery.
Third date: if we actually like each other by then… probably the cinema. Back row obviously, purely for the superior viewing angle of course.🤭
What are you looking for in a partner?
I tend to gravitate towards intelligent, emotionally expressive women. I find I naturally connect well with people who can communicate openly and think for themselves.
I admire independent women, but I also believe the best relationships work as a team where two people complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses rather than trying to compete.
What makes you laugh?
I have quite a relaxed sense of humour, with a bit of dark humour thrown in. I tend to tease women I’m fond of, but always in a good natured way. I don’t take myself too seriously and can usually laugh things off rather than getting dramatic about them.
I’m also easily amused by people’s behaviour usually in an affectionate way rather than a cynical one. Intelligent women in particular tend to make me laugh with their observations and little quirks.
What are you looking forward to in the future?
I feel like I’ve learned a lot about life so far, and I’m looking forward to seeing where that leads next. I tend to approach reality in my own way rather than following a conventional path, so I imagine the future will be interesting rather than predictable.
I’ve never been someone who lives a strictly linear life. I prefer exploring ideas, experiences and opportunities as they appear.
