I'm an optimistic, young-at-heart individual seeking an upbeat, energetic woman. I wear glasses, but only when reading. I would describe myself as funny (I enjoy telling jokes), loyal, and giving. I treat people with honesty, respect, and empathy. I dislike unkindness in all its forms and am looking for someone similar. My career (38 years teaching) was important to me, but now I’m retired, so is my leisure time. The outdoors has always been my great love, with walking and sport being my favourite activities. I play walking football (exactly as it sounds) twice a week for exercise and enjoyment. If my mind and body were sent a memo about getting old, they didn’t get it. Travel has always been important to me (mostly to countries in Europe and North Africa), and learning about new cultures. I have several countries on my bucket list: Italy, Greece, and Spain. My interests are not all outdoors. I generally prefer classical music and attend concerts whenever I can. Recently, I reintroduced myself to opera, but I remain undecided. Before the Pandemic, I used to sing in choirs (one for forty years). I also like some classic pop music and love to dance (without needing alcohol), but I rarely get the opportunity. Good films or theatre plays also tick my boxes. I’d love to meet someone in London to share my passion for life and appetite for new experiences.
