About Tim58
Tim58 is divorced and is seeking females for a casual relationship or a serious relationship.
I'm 65, god help me, but fit and active, lots of stamina, no medical problems. I'm healthy, physically and emotionally. I like music, conversation, books, comedy, history and lots of walking on hills, the coast and anywhere I can. Friends have generously said that I'm easy to talk to, interesting, sensitive, tactile, kind and funny, and they did so without sniggering, being paid or threatened with ostracism or violence.
Ideally I'd like to meet a woman who has complementary qualities to mine - someone who is active, intelligent, amusing, irreverent and quirky, and who likes long walks and music and isn't afraid to face the world wearing jeans and jumper and a rucksack occasionally. So long as she's fit, unpretentious and able to laugh loud and long we'll get along fine. I suppose in many ways I'm looking for the female version of me but, liberated though I am, she should be without the beard. No restrictions on ethnic origin or age, except that I'm not looking for anyone older than me.
I'm an easy-going, tolerant sort of bloke, except in one area of life, namely that I have no time for religion or spirituality, whatever that is - no-one supposedly imbued with its alleged qualities has yet been able to explain it properly to me. Judging by the available evidence, it seems to be an ability to spout highly improbable conclusions about many aspects of life without having applied any intelligent thought beforehand. However, my absence of this talent doesn't mean that I can't be overwhelmed with good feelings about the natural world or that I lack any sense of morality - far from it.
I'm child-friendly, having been a single dad for many years, and as such, I haven't had time for relationships. However, my daughter is now at an age where she largely lives her own life, even though that consists almost entirely of staring into a communication device, so I've become free again.
I'm a pedestrian (as opposed to driver), cyclist, writer, musician, atheist, secularist, vegetarian, republican, sceptic, humanist, libertarian. And I can laugh at myself and have a strong sense of the absurd.
For practical reasons, you'd probably be fairly local as I don't think that long-distance relationships work. My ideal day would be a long walk in the country on a sunny day with stimulating conversation, followed by a good meal and a social drink. If any of the foregoing sounds like your idea of a good time, then we'd probably get on well. If so, please contact me.
What do you like most about where you currently live?
I live almost next door to the Green Chain Walk, which is convenient for escape because the rest of the area is nothing more than a boring suburb.
What do you enjoy most about your current job?
I work from home, so can choose my own hours and days
What are your favourite leisure activities?
I love walking, music, books, meeting friends
Where in the world are your favourite places?
Lake District, UK coastline.
Where in the world would you love to visit?
Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Australia again
What would you do on an ideal date?
Go somewhere we can talk.
What are you looking for in a partner?
Someone active, intelligent, amusing, quirky and who likes long walks and music.
What makes a good relationship?
Humour, trust, honesty, giving, being friends, sex.
What makes you laugh?
Life's absurdities, observation of people. Slapstick, toilet, absurd, wordy humour.
What music do you like?
Almost everything, but not opera, heavy metal or rap. Not a great deal of country or modern pop either, come to think of it.
What has been the highlight of your life so far?
Being a dad. Although being a single parent wasn't always easy, I'd do it again in a moment.
What are you looking forward to in the future?
A time when I don't have to go on dating sites anymore. And it'd be good to have lots of money one day.
How is it that you still look like you're 30 when in fact you're 58, you old devil?
Hahaha. Well, I put it down to being a vegetarian, a walker and an atheist. If you treat your mind and body correctly you don't have too much to worry about.
