ShirtAndTieBoy is single and is seeking females for a serious relationship.

So I have rebuilt my life after a 18 year relationship ended before Covid. Now feel ready to begin the search for my Shirt-n-Tie-Girl and get on with the rest of my life.

I have a 13 year old child whom I raised and took 8-9 years off work to look after him. My child lives between myself and his mums home. Also have 2 x elderly cats (age 16). I have a good job and have been really career focused in recent years. I enjoy good food and wine, but sober since Jan 1st and trying to keep it going as long as I can. I am pretty simple, I don't go out much and quite homey, happy with a quiet night in and watching TV. I want someone to love, and be loved by and share the rest of my life with. I am quiet and shy by nature, I am not stuck in my ways though and willing to embrace new experiences and try new things. I used to be a lot more active and out and about before parenthood and then in recent years Covid.

I don't have tattoos. I have had both my ears pierced since my teenage years but only wear subtle crystal stud earrings and I try to coordinate re colours! I generally am clean shaven-ish in the main. I am approaching my mid 40s so my hair is not what it once was, but at least it's still there! I am tall and not too much overweight, but I am making effort to lose weight (I miss my wine at moment!).

I have a modern mindset and attitude to life. In many ways I'm ahead of my time, I could give some examples, but I should leave some things for a prospective Shirt-n-Tie-Girl to find out I think. To contradict this I can be old school at times too.

When I get a chance I like to play music and mess around with musical instruments at home like guitar, melodica, glockenspiel, and I am looking to acquire a piano now. I like indie type music, too much to mention but Bowie, The Beatles, Oasis, Travis, The Proclaimers are some of my favorite bands. I am likely to play that sort of thing along with other classic stuff. I tried to improve my guitar playing during the pandemic and have gotten into the finger picking style now. Music has been a saviour for me really in these crappy times.

So you may not agree, but I am just a normal Shirt-n-Tie-Boy seeking his Shirt-n-Tie-Girl :) I'm on this site for one purpose, to go on date(s), with goal to hopefully meet my future Shirt-n-Tie-Girl by establishing a good relationship at a slow-steady pace that can become life-long lasting.

* I am not interested in casual arrangements.
* Not interested in physical interactions or even holding hands at this point.
* Not interested in pen-pals and timewasters (had some of this already).
* I am taking this site seriously and not looking to mess about as most seem to be.

I don't mind chat, but I just want to have fun get-to-know-you communication/dates with a potential match that is basically a nice interesting lady that is also serious about meeting someone. Then see what happens.

My ideal Shirt-n-Tie-Girl would be:

* cuddly/affectionate.
* open minded.
* modern.
* (cliché warning!) have values of loyalty and commitment.
* and looking for some fun years and good times ahead.
* have own opinions on whatever feel strongly or passionate about (welcome a feminism)
* want to be a part of a couple that are a team and partnership ready to take on the world or whatever live throws at you together.
