I live in Scarborough, currently work part time so enjoy my free time meeting friends and family. I would love to have some male company as I miss this. I am quite intelligent, not unattractive, confident and independent. I love days out and meeting friends for coffee or lunch. Researching family history it’s probably my most enjoyable pastime although babysitting my grandchildren has to come first on the list, as my family are very special to me. I enjoy holidays in the sun but have to admit I do not fancy anything that involves snow or sport. I really love history so visits to castles, museums or stately homes are of special interest to me. I quite enjoy a pub quiz too and a visit to the cinema. The last film I went to see was’Downton Abbey, a new era’ which I thoroughly enjoyed.
What do you like most about where you currently live?
Can’t imagine living anywhere other than beside the sea. The scenery in Scarborough is beautiful. Also all my family live here so would never move as they are precious to me
What do you enjoy most about your current job?
The people I work with and the patients I call as part of my job. Also … hometime haha!
What are your favourite leisure activities?
A gentle stroll, a day out with some lunch, meeting friends for coffee, a pub quiz, a holiday in the sun, spending time with the family.
Where in the world are your favourite places?
Greece, Spain, France, Australia
Where in the world would you love to visit?
I have been to Australia twice to visit my sister and would love to go back. I would also like to do a cruise again as that is my ultimate holiday. I’d also like to try the USA as never been there.
What would you do on an ideal date?
Initially to meet up for a coffee and a chat.
What are you looking for in a partner?
Someone who is interesting and good company, makes me laugh, is honest and reliable and is family orientated. Ideally someone who is tall and doesn’t smoke. I would really like someone local within a 20 mile radius. I don’t fancy a distance relationship. Also I’m not into younger men (sorry), So someone aged between 58 and 70 would be ideal.
What makes a good relationship?
Having numerous things in common but also having own independent interests. Likewise joint friends and own friends. Trust is very important and the ability to talk easily and say anything. A good listener. Someone who is my best friend, my lover, my confidant. A person I can relax with and be myself and doesn’t mind if I haven’t put make-up on that day because he is interested in me as a person.
What makes you laugh?
My grandchildren, Gogglebox, vintage comedies on TV like Fools and Horses.
What music do you like?
I suppose music from my era, Queen, Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond, Dr Hook, Elvis, country music, but, I occasionally like more modern music like Ed Sheeran, and Jake Bugg. I also like Dido, Sam Smith, Westlife and Boyzone so it’s quite a mixed bag.
What has been the highlight of your life so far?
The birth of my three boys and my grandchildren.
What are you looking forward to in the future?
Retiring, hopefully in 18 months
