I am easy going, not afraid of hard work (self employed craftsman) and am planning to retire in a couple of years.
I have many interests that we can talk about. Just a few are camping, my allotment, sailing, cycling, nature and DIY. Just because I have these I don't expect you to participate in all of them. I accept that you will want to do some of your things on your own. I am not one to be in the other's pocket all the time. I like my space and accept you may well want yours. That said I like cuddles and kisses and could be classed as a hopeless romantic! It would be nice to meet for a meal or drink at a place that you feel comfortable with, take things easy with no pressure and see how things pan out but I also accept that you may want to message for a bit. I don't want it to drag on for weeks though. Face to face reveals much more about a personality.
A walk by the sea on a sunny breezy day or snuggling up in front of a fire take a lot to beat. Even more so with a nice lady with me.
I love banter and goofing around but at the same time recognise there are times to be serious. I believe in traditional values.
The person I would like to meet should be interesting, loyal, honest, trustworthy and have a sense of humour. Why is it that you go into a place and they say take a seat? Why do I want to take their furniture? Others say they have no idea. Have you seen a no eye deer?
You will need to like me for what and who I am and not try to change me and the same applies the other way.
I do not like cats and am not keen on travelling abroad. That doesn't mean I won't do it though.
What do you like most about where you currently live?
It is near enough but far enough from my place of work, has most shops close by and yet is not too far from the coast and navigation which I enjoy.
What do you enjoy most about your current job?
Being creative and meeting a variety of people.
What are your favourite leisure activities?
Spending time with my children, sailing, cycling, coastal walks and my allotment
Where in the world are your favourite places?
Remote places in the UK.
Where in the world would you love to visit?
I would like to go looking for gold in Australia. Possibly southern Ireland, Switzerland, Canada and Nashville.
What would you do on an ideal date?
Initially meet for a meal or coffee.
What are you looking for in a partner?
A lady that accepts me for what I am, is honest, trustworthy, fun and enjoys banter. Some one that has done interesting things in life that may be unusual.
What makes a good relationship?
Being able to say what you think. Accepting the other person for what they are without trying to change them. Have the ability to listen and not be in each others pockets. Finally be loyal, trustworthy and honest.
What makes you laugh?
Good banter, a play on words, goofing around.
What music do you like?
Most music but not that with a heavy beat. Classical, guitar, folk, country and western, Abba, soul, and the list goes on! Usually a good tune and lyrics then I am fine with it.
What has been the highlight of your life so far?
Being father to my 2 children and flying a Spitfire!
What are you looking forward to in the future?
Meeting somebody that I am comfortable with and can enjoy life with them.
