What do you like most about where you currently live?
I live in rural North Wales with countryside and mountains on all sides. I'm originally from the East Midlands but have lived in Wales for over thirty years now and am very happy here.
What do you enjoy most about your current job?
I am now retired
I previously worked for the NHS then Social Services enabling the disabled and elderly maintain independent living via rehabilitation and home adaptations. It was challenging but enjoyable, although I am now loving my retirement.
What are your favourite leisure activities?
I have been renovating my home over many years and am now reaching the end of the project.
I have a good sized garden with a stream on two sides. The garden keeps me fit and sane!
I'm am a member of the National Trust although these last couple of years have been a bit limited for seeing new places for obvious reasons. Here's hoping next year will be better.
I am not a fan of computers and I am not on social media, it's not my thing.
.I love dogs and have owned one for most of my adult life until quite recently. I would like to get another at some point in the future.
Where in the world are your favourite places?
I have visited China, Hong Kong, Bahrain and much of Europe in the past although I haven't done much travelling more recently due to my commitment to finishing the house. Hopefully I can alter that when the house is finished and the Covid situation has improved, until then there is plenty to see in Britain.
Where in the world would you love to visit?
I would love to visit Scandinavia, India or New Zealand. I think St Petersburg would also be an early ambition.
What would you do on an ideal date?
I think a country or coastal walk would be favourite, or a picnic including some nice cheeses... or even both preferably!
What are you looking for in a partner?
I'm looking for someone who is easy going and has a good sense of humour, someone who is interesting, and can hold an intelligent conversation.
I am also looking for a partner between the ages of sixty and seventy. I'm sorry, I do not reply to messages from men that do not fall within that age range.. Age is not just a number. I'm looking for someone who has shared history and would be available to share and enjoy our joint retirement, not be at work while I wait at home.
What makes a good relationship?
Trust, patience, honesty, good communication and a willingness to give each other space.
What makes you laugh?
Life in general because life is funny. A smile can solve a lot of problems.
What music do you like?
I like most music except opera and Country and Western. I will admit to being well out of touch with current popular music due to advancing old fartdom!
What has been the highlight of your life so far?
I'm hoping it is yet to come.
What are you looking forward to in the future?
I'm looking forward to finishing my house and being able to enjoy it after all the hard work.
I would also like to find a like minded partner to share life and to see and share new and interesting things, or for company when watching TV in front of the fire on a cold winters evening.
