Interview with thursdaynxt |
| |
What do you like most about where you currently live? House wise, this is my 3rd buy and I've now achieved the ideal place for my lifestyle. For location, I love being able to get into the countryside within minutes, but also being able to get into plenty of towns and cities easily. |
| |
What do you enjoy most about your current job? I never know what the day will bring and that's just they way I like it. I'm at my best when being given an impossible task and then not just achieving it, but delivering something better! |
| |
What are your favourite leisure activities? Cooking supper for friends, with some good wine. I've just got in to Zumba - a dance based exercise class and also like swimming and cycling. I read alot and have far too many books! If I'm going out then country pubs or city wine bars would be my choice. |
| |
Where in the world are your favourite places? I haven't had the opportunity to do much travelling, so I'll go for UK based places. Putsborough in Devon would rank pretty highly - great surf and not too many people! Stourhead would also be up there. |
| |
Where in the world would you love to visit? Iceland (for the Northern Lights), Petra, Leptis Magna, Carthage and Ephesus. For anyone not historically minded that will sound crackers! |
| |
What would you do on an ideal date? Good food, good wine, good conversation. |
| |
What are you looking for in a partner? Someone with similar goals, aspirations and interests. (Or at least one of the above!)Mainly though, I think it's about finding someone who will end up being your best friend. |
| |
What makes a good relationship? Shared values, goals and interests, but also being happy for your other half to have some different interests from you and not necessarily expecting them to join in! ( Sorry chaps, that would be something like fishing!) |
| |
What makes you laugh? Unfortunately it's often me! If not, then 'The Inbetweeners', 'Have I got news for you' or 'Outnumbered' would be my current faves. I confess to actually crying with laughter at The Inbetweeners as it reminds me so much of how hopeless but unaware of it we all were in our 6th form days! |
| |
What music do you like? I love music, and am happy listening to anything from classical and opera to dance,60's or 80's electronica. My only dislikes are most (but not all) rap, R&B and heavy metal. Oh, and anything by Oasis after 1996! |
| |
What has been the highlight of your life so far? There's not a particular highlight, but I am proud that I got a degree from Bristol Uni, despite having found I was expecting my son just before starting the course. I was determined that he would have a mother who was an example to him, and I'm glad to say that nearly 18 years later he is expecting far better A level results than I got! For me, the highlight is probably that I have managed to be a single parent who owns their own home, has a professional career and who also has a son who is doing really well. |
| |
What are you looking forward to in the future? Finally getting to travel to all of the places I've wanted to visit. |
