**Bit of an update**. My computer has given up the ghost, so I'm not going to be able to get online very often for the foreseeable future. If you send a message and I don't reply for a while, this is why, and not that I'm being rude. :o)
I'm looking for new friends initially, and if that leads to meeting someone with whom there is some real chemistry, then that would be fab.
I love to be with people, and enjoy making new friends, but I also enjoy spending time on my own, just chilling, doing my own thing in my own space.
I live most of the time with three lunatic cats, and with my daughter when she's home from uni. Our home is full of things - books, records, CDs, crafty stuff, the usual girl things, the inevitable stuff which goes with the territory of being a teacher, sometimes noise, sometimes peace & quiet, but mostly harmony and lots of love. The kettle never goes cold and there's usually some sort of music in the background.
I'm looking for someone who is honest, caring, sociable and reliable...someone who can laugh at himself as well as being able to find the funny side of most things in life. As far as humour is concerned, Monty Python, Morcambe & Wise, Friends, Mock The Week/QI/Have I Got News For You, Cheers, and silly jokes (particularly the wide-mouthed frog joke) make me giggle, whereas slapstick, Woody Allen, Mr. Bean and endless videos of people falling over leave me cold.
I am a vegetarian - well actually a pescatarian, which is the posh name for vegetarians who eat fish! I have no objection to others eating meat, but please don't ask me to buy it and/or cook it for you. :o)
I'm also a Christian, but am not specifically looking for another Christian - I just ask that my own choice of religion be respected and accepted by my friends.
A few likes and dislikes...I love - in no particular order - the sea, chocolate, live music (but not keen on tribute bands), flowers, seahorses, cinnamon, Winnie The Pooh, the winter, cheese on toast, and The Owl & The Pussycat. I'm not at all keen on mayonnaise, liars, very hot weather, football, cruelty in any shape or form, shellfish, red wine, or socks with sandals.
Anyway, if you feel you can relate to any of this stuff, and you want to make some sort of contact, then it would be lovely to hear from you, and I promise that I will respond, even if it's to say that I don't think there's a spark. I appreciate that it's not easy to make a first move, so would never ignore. :o)
