I'm 34, single and don't have any children. I live in Aylesbury, Bucks and i'm self-employed. I work really hard but it means I'm all the more appreciative when it comes to play time!
I'm originally from Manchester but moved down south about 15 years ago for love!! Soppy 'eh but life's for living and taking chances! It didn't work out but as i'd made a life for myself here and i'd made some amazing friends, I decided to stay and the rest is history.
It's fair to say my heart has been bruised in the last few years and it's made me a bit more cautious. That said, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and it's taught me that I don't need a man - It just might be nice to have one!
I've been single for a couple of years now (by choice) and can honestly say i'm not recovering from a previous relationship or merely looking for someone so that i'm not left on the shelf! I'm genuinely looking for someone fab to join me on the epic adventure that is life.
I love nights out dancing but I also really enjoy cooking at home for friends and I'm in my element playing the hostess with the mostess or entertaining the crowd. One of my biggest passions is 1940's re-enactment and living history. My hobby means I go all over the country visiting war time weekends and events, dressed up in WW11 uniform or 1940's civilian clothing. I'd love to meet someone with a similar interest or an open mind for getting involved. It really is the most fun you can have with your clothes on..!
I'm affectionate, loyal and love to laugh. I'm also very partial to a mucky joke! My friends would probably describe me as generous, protective, funny, sometimes outrageous, positive and up for anything. Oh, and Northern!
I would say I'm confident, caring and thoughtful and think there is nothing better than spending time with someone who is on my wavelength.
I'm big on intelligent conversation and like men who have opinions and experiences to draw on. I also like men who can spell and hate text speak with a passion! I'm also quite old-fashioned when it comes to morals and values so I appreciate the same in others.
The man I'm looking for would be happy and confident in himself and his abilities. He'd want to be better than he was yesterday but strive to be better still tomorrow and he'd approach things positively and with enthusiasm.
He'd be romantic and not afraid to show it. He'd know when I need a big reassuring hug or a bit of space. He'd want to share his life and become my best friend but he'd understand that we still need time on our own to pursue our own interests and dreams.
He'd inspire me and be inspired. He'd push me to my limits but always be there to catch me if I fall.
He'd listen to me intently when I tell him about my stressful day at work or my silly drunken antics with friends on a Saturday night.
He'd look forward to coming home from a hard day at work, just to feel my arms around him and would slip his hand in mine as we shopped in Tesco for the ingredients to make a lovely dinner.
He'd appreciate all the things I did for him and would make the most of being spoilt. He'd laugh at me when I suggested random things to do at weekends but would nod and smile because he knows he'll enjoy it!
Now, that doesn't sound like a bad gig, does it?! I look forward to hearing from any lovely men who think they're up to the job!
