Hello, and thanks for stopping by to read my profile. It's probably fair to say that the first thing you'll notice about me when you meet me, is the fact that I use a wheelchair. Yes indeed ladies, I come with my very own rather nifty set of wheels! Of course I'm not quite in Ferrari territory...my top speed is in fact a dizzy 4mph! Mind you having said that, my wheelchair is not without its advantages: I'm never stuck for a seat in a pub, and I've always got a good excuse for not dancing when out clubbing!
I haven't always been in a wheelchair, however. I became paralysed following an injury to my spinal cord I sustained whilst playing rugby as a teenager at school (many years ago now, of course). Having been through some difficult times in the past (haven't most of us?), I tend to have something of a 'carpe diem' attitude to life. I'm generally a very happy, easy-going kind of guy, and don't tend to stress over the little things; my experiences have certainly given me different perspective on life, as well as teaching me the value of a good sense of humour!
My family & friends are important to me, and many of my pastimes often involve meeting up with them whenever I get the opportunity. I enjoy all the usual things like going out to pubs, restaurants, live music, comedy clubs & the cinema. I also like more cultural pursuits such as visiting museums, galleries and the theatre. When at home I enjoy watching films, reading and occasionally some painting (though I'm certainly no artist I must admit).
I don't have any preconceptions about the kind of woman I'd like to meet. However, someone who is easy-going, has a fun attitude to life and a good sense of humour would be obviously advantageous in my eyes. So get e-mailing!! |
